B&B La Casa del Frate

“La Casa del Frate” is located under the millenary “Cassero” Tower. It was an old hospice, where a Franciscan friar came every year in autumn for the “cerca”, in other words for collecting alms and donations from benefactors. The gifts usually consisted in oil, wine, cheese and money to be destined to the maintenance of the friars of La Verna. This happened until some years ago. Today La Casa del Frate is a warm and comfortable Bed & Breakfast, whose rooms are provided with bathroom and TV and furnished according to the Tuscan tradition.
